The smell
Of Christmas
Gave me
Pine cone
Skin and
Tree needle
Cologne, but
Amidst the
Merriment, I
Began to
Feel alone
In a
Way that
I never
Found to
Be possible.
It lasted
A fraction
Of a
Second’s fortnight,
Then I
Never endured
Such a
Feeling again.
