Visual Poetry

It always brings a smile to my face when I find a collection of poetry that is complimented by sketches or drawings. Being openly poetic in and of itself is quite the feat, but to then visualize the tale being told in your own way takes bold initiative. Adultolescence was written and illustrated by Gabbie Hanna and thus far, I’m having a ball with it. She’s lyrical, comedic, painfully raw, and somehow manages to keep all of those emotions and themes flowing downstream like a gentle river. Very fun read, I highly recommend!
