One of my favorite books of 2018, The Perfume Burned His Eyes was the debut novel from acclaimed actor Michael Imperioli (who played Christopher on The Sopranos, amongst various other roles). It’s about NYC in the seventies, music, youth, Lou Reed, and a brilliant coming-of-age story that’s sopped up easier than syrup inside a porous pancake. Can’t recommend this one enough, especially for those who are avid fans of Michael’s.
