Staring at the Ceiling

My sleep schedule has been so topsy-turvy lately, actually off and on for years now, that I almost forget what a consistent schedule is like. I generally get enough hours in daily, but even now into my thirties I still wake up very early to start back up the routine. I’m transitioning into a new role in my career soon which should help with the fluctuating hours, but I wouldn’t trade the zany and off-kilter memories of those strange hours for anything. They helped me to produce two books worth of writing material and more. Do you find that inconsistent sleep patterns lead to some of your most inspiring ideas?
