Travel Journal

(Photo taken by me)

The sun was hot, the breeze cool, sprinkled shells jabbing at my exposed toes as I made my way along the inlet. It’s funny, squawking sea birds used to annoy the hell out of me. They’re always ravenous for food but when you watch them being free along the coastal air currents, it brings about an enormous sense of self calm. Maybe I’ll collect some shells to bring back for the niece, although I hate having sand getting into all the nooks and crannies of my luggage.
