It was the longest trek my feet had ever ventured on flip-flop foot, but the travel sized bottle of brandy kept my senses sharp and my ears peeled. Busy day at the beach, what with all the tourists and rollerbladers cutting paths through this shore town like it were a frog being dissected in Biology class. I puffed at a long-stemmed cigarette and thought about what boardwalk game I would play first when I arrived on scene.
