Last night I took my dearest lady to see Shazam at one of the AMC Dine In Theaters, which is always a really really fun time. Super comfy recliner chairs, ring the bell for service, cocktails and draft beer, appetizers and entrees, and of course, the movie itself.
I’m not too big into the superhero flicks these days, baring a few gems, mainly because I think Disney has kind of made them all into a cash cow and has eliminated some of the fun spark that made each one unique in the past.
DC seemed to recapture some of that magic here with Shazam because it was outrageously enjoyable. Comedic, sort of whimsical, action packed, and it took place in the wonderful city of brotherly love Philadelphia.
Without even thinking about it twice, I’d give it a 9/10. Perfect date movie, beat em’ up old school hero versus villain movie, and just an all around good movie in general.

Although my boyfriend and I gave it an 8/10 I agree that the movie was really good! Funny as hell even though the lead characters were only kids!

Nice to see another fan! It was one of those movies that you can just sit back and enjoy, which always a good thing 👌🏻

Exactly! Which is definitely something different for DC and their dark concepts..

For sure! Between that and Wonder Woman, I think they’re headed in an amazing direction. Hopefully they can keep the streak going 👍🏻
