Can Get No Sleep

Oh I hear a motor car

Coming up the coast

You know I’ve seen other cities but I like this one most

There’s a girl down in the valley says that we can take it slow

Or we can push fast forward on it

Love success and rock and roll

~”No Sleep” by Caamp

Music and nature are two things that coexist in superfluous amounts within my realm. I can’t go a day, much less an hour or minute without thinking about either one.

When the two facets collide, as they do so well with Caamp’s style of music (other artists too), it makes for the perfect soundtrack to accompany a scenic romp or drive through the mountains.

Life has an intangible soundtrack and it’s always pitch perfect to the mood and the moment that you’re in.

I remember receiving CDs for birthday and Christmas presents when I was a teenager and you would have thought that someone drove right up to the front doorstep and unloaded a pile of sparkling gold and retirement currency green.

To this day, whenever I hear a song that moves me, and more literally moves the proverbial mountain, I feel like that kid all over again.

Caught up inside an artist’s beautiful rendition of the true lyrical point they wish to convey to the audience.

Pop that tuneage on a Bluetooth speaker or set of AirPods while trekking around the sprawling haven of Mother’s nature, and you’ve got yourself one heck of a zenful experience.
