Creative Reflection

Writing used to be a concept that I wanted to be apart of, but never fully embraced up until a few years ago.

If someone asked me what I liked to do in my spare time, writing was always the first thing that popped up in my head, but there wasn’t too much of it to actually speak of.

When I started to hit my stride awhile back, it still proved to be quite the struggle to sit down, carve out some creative time, and spill my thoughts into whatever document format presented itself to me.

Even to this day, I’m unable to plop down on the office chair and manifest words. All of my writing is done on a mobile phone app. The reason why I think my practice has transformed into this technique is because I’m always on the go.

Working, adventuring, exercising, etc.

New age technology was meant to set us free, to be a tool for the mind and the eternal dreamers.

Why not put it to good use?

I’ll be honest, it does feel really good to stifle social media or Google search engine romping, after I’ve unlocked the touchscreen. Not that either of those things are awful, but they can be a huge time sink.

Anyway, enough from the introspective peanut gallery. Have a wonderful day everyone!
