Welcome Friends, Strangers, and Complete and Total Oddballs

One of the greatest things about our world is the interactions and introductions we pursue with other people. Sometimes it’s not even just the people we speak with, but inanimate objects, animals, and cloud-billowing internal thoughts as well. For example, this morning I dragged myself out of bed at 4:45am to get an early jump on the day. As I wearily made my way into the kitchen and made a fresh cup of coffee, I decided to have a chit-chat with one of my favorite mugs.

“Howdy, pal. What’s new today?”

(Silence.)

“If you’re half as tired as I am, it makes sense your lack of willingness to respond.”

(I was gathering my thoughts.)

“There you are! My morning buddy, my early day confidante, how’s everything in your cupboard of the world?”

(It’d be a whole lot better if you weren’t so uppity and cheerful. I can’t even think straight yet.)

What can I say?

He’s a little bit shy.

Very nice and hospitable, but a cruel entity when he himself hasn’t had his coffee yet.

Oh, the irony there.

What a bean roast indeed!

Anyway, my new short story collection will be releasing in a few days and I’m really excited about it.

Within the middle ground of the front and back covers the reader will find zany, funny, relatable characters in the form of fleeting vignettes.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed spilling out the quirky weirdness onto the blank page!

Thank you as always for the support, it really is heartwarming and soul-boosting, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
